Dual-party recording compliance
Walkie-to-Walkie calls inject an audible chime and visible recording status on both ends, creating an identical shared record in both accounts. Regular carrier calls remain completely private to the caller unless they explicitly choose to send an SMS recap.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
All audio streams, transcripts, photos, and messages are encrypted using TLS 1.3 in flight and AES-256 at rest. Storage buckets use private, short-lived signed URLs generated on-demand per authorized view.
Strict conversation-scoped permissions
Data is isolated using Postgres Row Level Security (RLS) and cryptographic tokens. A subcontractor invited to the Oak Ridge plumbing feed can never see or access conversations from the Malibu foundation.
Zero background surveillance
Walkie Pro only records audio when an active call is connected or when the push-to-talk button is held down. There is zero passive background listening, no ambient acoustic monitoring, and zero GPS tracking.

California & All-Party Consent Standards
Several states — including California, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, and Washington — require all parties to consent before a call can be recorded.
Walkie Pro is engineered to satisfy the highest standard: an audible tone and verbal announcement are injected directly into the audio bridge upon connection. If either party chooses not to be recorded, they may end the call immediately or switch to standard text messaging.
Furthermore, because both parties on a Walkie-to-Walkie call receive identical copies of the recording and transcript in their respective accounts, the record is fully transparent and mutually accessible. When calling external subcontractors via carrier phone lines, recordings and transcripts remain strictly private to the caller unless they explicitly choose to dispatch an SMS recap.
