Acceptable Use Policy
Walkie Pro
Last updated: 26 August 2026 Version: 2.0
What this is
This Acceptable Use Policy is part of our Terms of Use. It sets out what you may and may not do with Walkie Pro.
It applies to everything you send, upload, say, or share through the Services — messages, photos, videos, documents, voice memos, calls, lists, notes, and map pins. We call all of that your content.
Walkie Pro is built for construction work. These rules exist so it stays usable for the crews, contractors, designers, and trades who depend on it — not to restrict how you run your business.
1. Use the Services for work, lawfully
You may use Walkie Pro for your business and professional purposes, including running projects, coordinating trades, managing clients, and keeping project records.
You must comply with all laws that apply to you, including those governing recording, employment, workplace monitoring, licensing, and construction.
2. Calls and recording
Every Walkie call is recorded, transcribed, and summarized. See Terms of Use §6.
Your obligations:
- Get the consents your jurisdiction requires. Many states — including California — require every person on a call to consent to being recorded. Some countries require more. This is your responsibility for the calls you place and the people you invite.
- Give required notice before monitoring workers. Several states require written notice to employees before electronic monitoring. If you invite an employee, subcontractor, or worker, that obligation is yours.
- Do not use Walkie calls where recording would be unlawful for you or for any participant.
- Do not use the Services to record anyone secretly. The Services tell people a call is recorded before it connects. Do not work around that, and do not use the Services to catch someone out.
What you must not do:
- Capture a call, message, or file by other means — screen recording, a second device, or third-party software — in a way that circumvents the notice other participants received
- Share a recording, transcript, or summary outside the Services without the consent of the people in it
- Edit a recording, transcript, or summary and present it as an accurate record
- Use a recording to harass, threaten, intimidate, embarrass, or retaliate against anyone
Remember who can hear it. Recordings are available to everyone in the conversation, not only the people on the call. Do not treat a Walkie call as a private conversation between two people.
2A. Calling people who are not Walkie Pro users
You can call an ordinary phone number from Walkie Pro. That call is recorded, transcribed, and summarized, and the recording begins when the person answers — before the recorded announcement plays. The person you called has never used this product and has agreed to nothing.
Do not:
- Call anyone you have reason to think would object to being recorded, without telling them first yourself
- Use the feature where recording would be unlawful for you or for the person you are calling
- Present a phone number as caller ID that you do not control
- Call someone repeatedly after they have asked you to stop
- Use recordings of people who are not users to embarrass, pressure, or retaliate against them
- Share a recording or summary of an outside call with anyone who has no legitimate reason to see it
If you are calling a homeowner, a client, an inspector, or anyone outside your crew, tell them the call is recorded before you dial. The announcement is not a substitute for that, and Section 21(e) of the Terms puts that obligation on you.
2B. The job bulletin
Do not post:
- Access codes for anything you are not authorized to share
- A client’s name, home address, alarm arrangements, or anything identifying a property in a way that creates a security risk
- Photographs of people without their agreement
- Anything defamatory about a trade, a supplier, or another contractor
Keep codes out of headlines. The headline may be published on the job’s public web page. The details are the private half — put the code there.
Before you turn on a public page, look at every active post and ask whether a stranger reading the headlines could learn something they should not. Anyone who scans the QR code at your gate can read it.
Take the page down when the job ends. Revoke the link rather than leaving it running.
If you let someone into a post’s details, you are vouching for them. Do not grant access to someone you cannot identify.
3. Treat people decently
There is a real person on the other end of every message and call.
Do not:
- Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or intimidate anyone
- Use hate speech, or attack people based on race, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic
- Incite or threaten violence
- Share sexual content, or content depicting real violence or injury for its own sake
- Share content that sexualizes or endangers a minor. We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, as the law requires
- Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent who you work for
- Share someone’s private information — home address, personal phone number, ID documents, financial details, immigration status, medical information — without their permission
Disagreement is fine. Construction runs on frank conversation, and directness is not harassment. What is not fine is targeting a person.
4. Respect other people’s information
- Only upload contacts, documents, and photos you have the right to share
- Do not use the Services to collect or compile information about other users
- Do not share other people’s content outside the Services without permission
- Do not use another person’s account, or let someone use yours
- Where you upload information about a client, worker, or third party, make sure you are allowed to
5. Files and content
Do not upload:
- Malware, viruses, or anything designed to damage or gain unauthorized access to a system
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, trade secrets, or other rights
- Content you are contractually barred from sharing
We do not scan or validate the files you upload. We do not check file types, sniff formats, or scan for malware. Treat files from other users as you would any file received from outside your organization, and scan them yourself if that matters to you.
6. Do not attack or abuse the Services
Do not:
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to reach
- Probe, scan, or test the security of the Services, or bypass rate limits, authentication, or access controls
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access or extract data
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, except where the law permits
- Overload the Services, or interfere with anyone else’s use of them
- Resell, sublicense, or share your account credentials
- Create multiple accounts to evade a suspension or abuse promotional offers
- Use the Services to build a competing product
If you find a security vulnerability, tell us at support@walkiepro.com. We will not pursue good-faith security research that is reported to us promptly and does not access other people’s data.
7. Automated features
Walkie Pro transcribes, summarizes, translates, and answers questions about your content using automated systems.
These can be wrong, including about who said what and who agreed to what. See our Disclaimer.
Do not:
- Present an automated summary as a verified record of what someone said or agreed to, when you know or should suspect it is wrong
- Rely on automated output as professional, legal, engineering, or safety advice
- Use Ask to extract information about people or conversations you are not entitled to
- Attempt to manipulate automated features into producing false records, or to circumvent their limits
- Use output from the Services to train a machine learning model
If a summary matters, check it against the recording. If it names you and is wrong, tell the conversation, and write to support@walkiepro.com.
8. Construction-specific
Because of what this product is for:
- Nothing in the Services is a change order, contract amendment, or formal notice. Do not present a message, call, summary, or list item as though it were. See Terms of Use §8
- Do not use the Services as your only record of anything that a contract, licence, or statute requires you to keep
- Do not use the Services to coordinate unlicensed work, evade permitting or inspection, or misrepresent compliance
- Do not use recordings or summaries to fabricate or distort a record in a dispute
9. Reporting
If you see something that breaks these rules, report it from within the app, or email support@walkiepro.com with the conversation and what happened.
What we do:
- We review every report and aim to respond within 24 hours.
- We look at the reported content in context and decide whether it breaks these rules.
- We may remove content, limit features, suspend, or terminate the account. We may act immediately and without notice where content is unlawful or someone’s safety is at risk.
- Where the law requires us to report something to authorities, we do.
What we do not do:
- We do not proactively monitor, scan, or review your messages, files, or calls. We do not use automated systems to screen your content for policy violations. We act on reports.
- We do not screen content before it is shared, and we do not check it for accuracy or legality.
- We are not obliged to review or remove content except as described here and as the law requires.
If we act against your content or account we will tell you what happened and why, unless the law prevents us. If you think we got it wrong, reply and we will review it again.
10. What happens if you break these rules
It depends on what happened and what came before.
| Response | When |
|---|---|
| Warning | First or minor issues |
| Content removal | The content itself breaks the rules |
| Feature limits | Repeated or targeted misuse |
| Suspension | Serious or repeated breaches |
| Termination | Severe breaches, or repeated breaches after warning |
| Report to authorities | Unlawful content, or a genuine risk to someone’s safety |
Content removal does not delete the underlying record. Where a recording, transcript, or summary exists, removing something from view does not erase it. See Terms of Use §11.
If we terminate your account for breach, you may not open a new one without our permission.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date shows when. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to tell you before it takes effect.
