What Walkie earns

Pros pay Walkie a fixed share of jobs they win through Connect — 10% for service and repair trades, 8% for specialty and exterior work, 6% for structure and systems, 5% for general contractors. 10% is the most, ever. The rate is the same for every pro in a trade, whatever their rating. It never changes who you see or the order you see them in, and nobody can pay to be in your three. You pay your pro directly; Walkie bills the pro separately.

How the rating works

  1. We ask every customer

    Every person who hired a pro through Walkie is asked, good job or bad. Not just the happiest or the angriest, so the number is real.

  2. Only real customers

    No one can rate without a real request and a real job on Walkie.

  3. Five things, 1 to 10

    On time, quality, price vs quote, communication, clean site.

  4. Always current

    Walkie uses a pro's latest 100 ratings. Older ones drop off.

  5. Under 9.2, off Connect

    Pros whose rating falls below 9.2 are removed. You only ever see pros who keep it up.

  6. Can't be bought

    No one can pay to be shown higher or to change a rating.

Calls and texts go through a job number that lives only for this job.
