Accessibility Statement
Walkie Pro
Last updated: 30 September 2026 Version: 2.0
Our commitment
Walkie Corporation is committed to making Walkie Pro usable by everyone who works in construction, including people with disabilities.
Construction is a field where hearing loss is common — sustained noise exposure is an occupational reality — and where people work in gloves, in bright sun, in low light, and one-handed. Accessibility here is not an edge case. It is most of our users, some of the time.
We aim to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA across walkiepro.com and the Walkie Pro mobile app.
This statement is part of our Terms of Use.
1. Where we stand
Status: partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Some content does not yet fully conform.
We assessed the website and app in August 2026 by self-evaluation.
We publish our known gaps in Section 4 rather than describing only what works. We would rather you know what to expect.
2. What works today
- Every call is transcribed. Recordings, transcripts, and written summaries are available to everyone in the conversation after a call ends — so a call does not have to be heard to be followed
- Transcripts and summaries can be translated into other languages
- Voice memos are transcribed automatically, so a spoken message can be read
- Text alternatives exist for most audio content through the transcript
- Screen reader support for native text, buttons, and standard controls on iOS and Android
- Support for your device’s system text size, up to the limits described in Section 4
- Support for system-level accessibility settings including reduce motion, bold text, and increased contrast ``
- Haptic feedback for key actions, useful in loud environments and with hearing loss
- Written records of decisions and follow-ups, which reduce reliance on remembering spoken instructions
3. Assistive technology
The app is built with Flutter and the website with Framer. We aim to support:
- VoiceOver on iOS
- TalkBack on Android
- Bluetooth keyboards and switch control
- System text scaling, contrast, and motion settings
- Screen readers on desktop browsers for the website
We test with visual review of standard workflows. We do not currently test with screen readers or other assistive technology. We do not currently test with every combination of assistive technology and device.
4. Known limitations and when we intend to fix them
These are real and we are working on them. Dates are our current targets, not commitments, and we will update them as work progresses.
| # | Limitation | Who it affects | Target |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | No live captions during a call. Calls are transcribed, but the transcript is produced after the call ends — there is no real-time captioning while a call is in progress | Deaf and hard-of-hearing users, who can read the record afterward but cannot follow a call as it happens | Not yet scheduled |
| 2 | No captions on user-uploaded video. Videos shared in conversations have no automatic captioning | Deaf and hard-of-hearing users | Not yet scheduled |
| 3 | Layout breaks at large text sizes. At system font scaling near 200%, some text fields, message bubbles, and menus overlap, truncate, or become obscured | Low-vision users relying on system text scaling | Not yet scheduled |
| 4 | Some touch targets are below 24×24 px. Certain custom buttons, inline links, and dense list rows fall below the WCAG 2.2 minimum | Users with motor impairments, tremor, or limited dexterity — and anyone wearing work gloves | Not yet scheduled |
| 5 | Some contrast ratios fall below 4.5:1. Certain text colors, custom icons, and secondary button states do not meet the minimum | Low-vision and color-blind users, and anyone in direct sunlight on a job site | Not yet scheduled |
| 6 | Missing alternative text on some custom elements. Some custom graphics and app icons lack descriptive labels, so a screen reader may skip them or read a file name | Screen reader users | Not yet scheduled |
| 7 | Keyboard focus problems. The visual focus indicator is missing on some interactive elements, and users may encounter focus traps in certain menus and modals when navigating with a Bluetooth keyboard or switch control | Keyboard and switch control users | Not yet scheduled |
| 8 | User-uploaded images have no alternative text, because the person uploading them does not currently have a way to add one | Screen reader users | Not yet scheduled |
If one of these is blocking you from doing your job, tell us. We will help you directly while we work on the underlying fix — see Section 6.
5. What we are doing about it
- Accessibility is reviewed as part of design and development for new features
- We re-assess this statement at least annually, and after any significant change to the Services
- We prioritize fixes by how much they block real work, not by how easy they are
- We maintain records of accessibility feedback and our responses
6. Tell us — and get help
If you hit an accessibility barrier, or need information in a different format, contact us:
Email: support@walkiepro.com — subject line “Accessibility” Phone: +1 (323) 504-7400 Post: Walkie Corporation, 23945 Calabasas Rd, Suite 101, Calabasas, CA 91302, United States
We respond within 15 business days, and sooner where we can.
Please tell us what you were trying to do, what went wrong, and what device and assistive technology you were using. That makes it far easier to reproduce and fix.
We can also help directly. If something is not usable for you right now, we will find a way to get you the information or functionality another way while we fix the underlying problem.
7. If you are not satisfied
If our response does not resolve things, you may contact:
