Meet Ask Walkie. Ask it anything about your projects.

Where'd we land on the panel? You know it came up on a call... you just don't remember which one.

On Projects, tap search... then tap Ask Walkie, at the bottom.

Ask it the way you'd ask your foreman. Which wall is the panel going on, at Cordelia?

Walkie answers from your own messages and calls... and shows you where it found it.

Tap a source to check the original. For a call, it plays the exact moment.

If the answer isn't in your records, it tells you... instead of guessing. Try it with your next question.

Ask Walkie sits under the search field at the top of Projects, and you can also open it from a conversation or a job to ask about just that one. Every question and answer is saved to your Ask History, which only you can see. You can remove them from your History, but Walkie keeps a copy on its servers.

Steps

Ask across everything:

  1. Tap the search field at the top of Projects. It reads “Search or ask — messages, people, files…”.
  2. Tap the Ask Walkie bar at the bottom of the search screen, then type your question or hold the mic button to say it.

Ask about one conversation or job:

  1. In Projects, tap the circle on the left of a conversation, then tap Ask about this conversation. Or open a job’s sheet and tap Ask about this job.
  2. A chip above the box reads “Only” and the conversation’s or job’s name, so you know Ask is looking there alone. Tap the chip to ask across all your conversations again.

Read or delete past questions:

  1. Open Ask, then tap History at the top.
  2. Tap a question to read its answer again.
  3. To remove one question, swipe it away, or open it and tap the delete icon. You have a few seconds to tap Undo.
  4. To remove every question, tap Clear history and confirm.

Your three newest questions show under Recent questions on Ask’s first screen. Tap one to open it in History, or tap All. Reading one never uses a question.

Removing a question takes it off your History on every device. It doesn’t erase it: the question and its answer stay stored on Walkie’s servers.

Leaving search:

  1. Tap Cancel next to the search field, or the close button at the top of Ask and History.
  2. On Android, Back goes one step back.

If it didn’t work

  • The job row is greyed out with “too many for one question”. That job is connected to more than 16 conversations. Ask from inside one of them instead.
  • Ask named a job you didn’t mean. A chip reads “Answering about” and the job. Tap that chip to clear it. Walkie confirms with “Cleared. Your next question covers every conversation unless it names a job. That uses one question.”
  • History doesn’t show an old question. History lists your 50 most recent. Older ones don’t show there.
  • “Ask needs a connection.” Ask only works online. Search in the same field still works offline.

What Walkie can’t do

  • Walkie can’t show your Ask History to anyone else, including people in your conversations.
  • Walkie can’t erase your Ask questions and answers from its servers. Removing them only hides them from your History, and the stored copy is kept.
  • Walkie also keeps each question’s text and the sources used, never the answer, in a separate quality log. That log erases the question after 90 days, whether or not you removed it from History.
  • Search indexing can’t be switched off. Your content is indexed as it’s saved, whether or not anyone uses Ask. Anthropic writes Ask’s answers, and Google Gemini turns your content and each question you ask into search vectors so Ask can find the right records. See our Privacy Policy.

Quick answers

Where do I find Ask?
Tap the search field at the top of Projects, then tap the Ask Walkie bar at the bottom of the search screen.
Can I ask about just one job?
Yes. Open the job's sheet and tap Ask about this job, or on Projects tap the circle on the left of a conversation, then Ask about this conversation.
Does Walkie keep my questions?
Yes. Your questions and answers are saved to your Ask History so you can read them again on any device. Only you can see your History.
Can I delete my Ask history?
You can remove questions from your History, one at a time or all at once with Clear history. They disappear from your History, but a copy of each question and answer stays on Walkie's servers.
Who sees my Ask questions?
Nobody in your conversations sees them. Walkie keeps the question text in a quality log for 90 days, and the AI providers named in our privacy policy process it.
Can I share an answer with my crew?
Yes. Under an answer, tap Send to post it into a conversation, or Save as note to keep it.
