The page you scanned is the job’s public page, and it never shows gate codes. Tap Ask to be let in, give your name and a mobile number or email, and confirm the 6-digit code we send you. If someone on the crew taps Let them in, your own page shows what they shared with you.

Steps

  1. Open the link or scan the QR on the job’s poster. It opens in your phone’s web browser.
  2. Tap Ask to be let in, or Ask about this on one item.
  3. Type your name. The crew sees your name, your number or email, and your reason if you add one.
  4. Choose Text me or Email me, and enter your mobile number (with the country code, like +1) or your email address.
  5. If you chose text, tick the box agreeing to texts about this request. It’s at most two texts: the code, and a link if the crew lets you in.
  6. Tap Send request.
  7. Tap the link in the text or email, or type the six digits and tap Let me in. The code expires after 10 minutes.
  8. Wait on the page that opens. It reads “Nothing is shared with you right now” until the crew lets you in, and it updates by itself.
  9. When they let you in, you get a text or email saying your request was approved, with a link. Bookmark the page it opens; it’s the only way back.

If it didn’t work

  • “That code did not work.” Check the digits, or tap Send it again for a new code. After too many wrong tries you have to send it again.
  • “Verification link expired.” The link was more than 10 minutes old. Go back to the poster and ask again.
  • No text arrived. Tap Use email instead. If you’ve ever replied STOP to a Walkie Pro text, texts to your number are switched off, so choose email.
  • “This page isn’t on right now.” The crew switched the public page off, or the link is wrong. Ask them to switch it back on; the same poster works again.
  • “Too many requests right now.” Wait a while and try again, or ask someone on the crew directly.
  • You lost your link. On the ask page, tap “Lost the link you were sent?”, then Get your link back. Enter the poster’s link or code and the number or email you asked with, and tap Send me a new link. The new link and code expire after 10 minutes.
  • Nothing ever showed up. The crew may not have answered, or said no; you aren’t told which. A request nobody answers expires after 7 days. The approval link lasts 7 days if you don’t open it.

What Walkie can’t do

  • The public page can’t show you a code, a document’s contents, anyone’s name or phone number, or the full address. It does show the job’s short name, which is usually the street number and street.
  • Walkie support can’t let you in or give you a code. Only the crew can.
  • A document on the board isn’t sent to guests. Ask the crew to send it to you directly.
  • Your page tells the crew when you open it.
  • Guests can’t message the crew through Walkie Pro. Ask someone on site.

When to contact us

If you’ve tried both text and email and still get no code or link, email support@walkiepro.com or call +1 (323) 504-7400 with the job’s poster link and the number or email you used. If you’re on the crew and Walkie says “Contact support and quote” a code when you turn the public page on or off, send us that code. Also contact us if the QR got out and you need a brand-new link. We reply within one business day.

Quick answers

Why isn't the gate code on the page?
The public page never shows codes, anyone's name or phone number, or the full address. It only shows that a code exists, so you can ask for it.
How long is the code good for?
The 6-digit code and its link expire 10 minutes after we send them. Tap Send it again for a new one.
Do I need the Walkie Pro app?
No. Everything happens in your phone's web browser, and you don't need an account.
Can Walkie support let me in or tell me the code?
No. Only someone on the crew can let you in, so ask whoever gave you the poster or link.
I don't want texts. Can I use email?
Yes. Choose Email me on the request form and the code and link come by email instead.
How do I stop the texts?
Reply STOP. Walkie Pro then sends your number no more texts, and you can still ask again by email.
