There’s no download button in the app: to get a copy of your data, email Walkie support, and a person answers within 45 days, which can be extended once by another 45. To delete your account, go to You, then Account & privacy, then Request account deletion; it’s deleted after a 30-day grace period. To stop it, tap Cancel account deletion on that same screen before then, because signing back in alone doesn’t cancel it.

Steps

Get a copy of your data

  1. Email support@walkiepro.com from the email address on your Walkie account, with the subject Privacy Request, and say you want a copy of your data.
  2. Walkie checks it’s you using details already on your account, then answers within 45 days. If it needs longer, it can extend once by another 45 days.

Delete your account

  1. Tap You.
  2. Under Account, tap Account & privacy.
  3. Under Account actions, tap Request account deletion.
  4. Read the dialog, then type DELETE in capital letters.
  5. Tap Request account deletion to confirm.

Your account is deactivated right away, Walkie signs you out on that phone, and everything stored on that phone is erased. The deletion itself runs after the 30 days.

Stop a deletion you asked for

  1. Sign in with the same Apple or Google account you used before.
  2. Tap You, then Account & privacy.
  3. Check that Deletion scheduled shows a date.
  4. Tap Cancel account deletion. The screen shows “Account deletion canceled.”

If it didn’t work

  • You don’t see Cancel account deletion. It only shows while Deletion scheduled is on the screen. If neither is there, check which account you signed in with: signing in with Apple when you used Google before (or the other way round) opens a separate, empty account. Contact support if you can’t tell.
  • It says “Couldn’t cancel account deletion. Try again.” Check you’re connected to the internet, then tap Cancel account deletion again.
  • It says “Couldn’t request account deletion. Try again.” Usually nothing was scheduled. Check Account & privacy: if Deletion scheduled shows a date, the request went through. If not, check your connection and start again.
  • It warns that changes haven’t synced yet. Some of your work hasn’t reached your crew. Connect to the internet and try again. If you go ahead anyway, those changes are erased from the phone and can’t be recovered.

What Walkie can’t do

  • There’s no self-serve export or download-my-data button. A copy always goes through support by email.
  • Signing back in doesn’t cancel a deletion. Only Cancel account deletion does.
  • Once the 30 days pass and the deletion runs, the account can’t be restored.
  • Deleting your account closes your access. It doesn’t remove you from the record. Your name stays wherever it appears, and the messages, photos, videos, documents and voice memos you sent stay, along with lists, notes, map pins and snapshots.
  • Deletion removes your ability to sign in, your profile photo, your settings and preferences, and your email address from your profile.
  • Walkie keeps your phone number. Your email address is kept in a restricted internal record, so a recycled address can’t reconnect to conversations it no longer belongs to.
  • Deleting your account doesn’t remove call recordings, transcripts or summaries. Call audio is kept for three years and then deleted. Transcripts and summaries are kept like messages, indefinitely. Nobody — including us — can edit or delete a transcript or summary once it exists.

When to contact us

  • For a copy of your data, email support@walkiepro.com with the subject Privacy Request. We reply within one business day. The full answer comes within the 45 days above.
  • You can also ask for deletion by email instead of in the app. If Walkie can’t delete something you ask for, it tells you what it removed, what it kept, and why.
  • If you think you signed in to the wrong account, email support@walkiepro.com or call +1 (323) 504-7400, and include your diagnostics from You › Help & support › Diagnostics › Copy diagnostics.

Quick answers

Is there a button to download my data?
No. Email support@walkiepro.com with the subject Privacy Request, and a person answers within 45 days, which can be extended once by another 45.
Does signing back in cancel my account deletion?
No. After you sign in, go to You › Account & privacy and tap Cancel account deletion before the 30 days are up.
How long do I have to change my mind after asking to delete my account?
30 days. After that the deletion runs and the account can't be brought back.
Are my call recordings deleted when I delete my account?
No. Deleting your account doesn't remove them for everyone in the conversation. Call audio is kept for three years and then deleted. Transcripts and summaries are kept like messages, indefinitely. Nobody — including us — can edit or delete a transcript or summary once it exists.
Is my phone number deleted when I delete my account?
No. Walkie keeps your phone number. Your email is removed from your profile but kept in a restricted internal record.
What's the difference between deactivating and deleting?
Deactivating takes your profile offline, and signing back in turns it on again. Deleting closes your account for good after a 30-day grace period.
