Walkie has four plans: Free, Crew, Plus and Elite. They differ in included minutes, Ask questions, how far back your history shows, and how many people can be on one call.

Paid plans are sold to customers in the United States. You upgrade in Plan & usage, and pay on Stripe's checkout page in your browser.

  • Free, $0: 30 free minutes a month, 5 Ask questions a month, 6 months of history, 2 people on a call.
  • Crew, $9 a month or $90 a year: 100 included minutes, 10 Ask questions, 3 years of history, 2 people on a call.
  • Plus, $19 a month or $190 a year: 300 included minutes, 25 Ask questions, 10 years of history (Ask searches all of your history), 4 people on a call, and video transcripts.
  • Elite, $129 a month or $1,290 a year: 2,500 included minutes, 150 Ask questions, full history, 4 people on a call, and video transcripts.

Prices are in US dollars and don’t include tax. Every plan includes calling, messaging, photos, files, jobs, lists and notes.

What uses minutes:

  • Calls: every current member of the conversation is charged the call’s minutes, timed from when it starts ringing to hang-up, including people who didn’t pick up. The transcript and summary are included. The minutes limit is on. A call gets its transcript and summary if anyone on it has minutes left when it ends, even if the call runs past their balance. If nobody does, the call stays a recording, and new calls are written up again when minutes reset. Translating a voice memo or writing up a walkthrough needs enough minutes left to cover it, and a video transcript needs someone on Plus or Elite with enough minutes left to cover the video.
  • Voice memos: transcripts and summaries don’t use minutes. Only translating a voice memo does.
  • Videos: a video’s transcript uses minutes from the people in the conversation who can cover it.
  • Ask uses questions, not minutes.

Minutes and questions usually come back at the start of the calendar month (UTC); Plan & usage shows your exact reset date. Unused ones don’t carry over.

If it didn’t work

  • Plan & usage shows a different plan than you expected. Tap Refresh under “Your plan follows your account.” The line under it names the plan your account is on, for example “Up to date. You’re on Plus.”
  • You want to change plans. Paid plans are sold to customers in the United States. You upgrade in Plan & usage, and pay on Stripe's checkout page in your browser.

What Walkie can’t do

  • A plan can’t be shared across accounts or bought for a whole company. Each person has their own plan.
  • Unused minutes and questions don’t carry over to the next month.

Quick answers

Is Free a trial?
No. Free is a plan that renews every month, and it needs no card.
How much do the paid plans cost?
Crew is $9 a month, Plus $19 and Elite $129, plus tax. Paid plans are sold to customers in the United States. You upgrade in Plan & usage, and pay on Stripe's checkout page in your browser.
Is yearly billing cheaper?
Yes. Yearly is ten months' price: $90 for Crew, $190 for Plus and $1,290 for Elite.
Do calls and messages cost extra on Free?
No. Calling and messaging are free on every plan. Minutes pay for the transcript and summary of a call.
Can someone on Free join a four-person call?
Yes. Whoever starts the call sets the limit, so a Plus or Elite user can host people who are on Free.
Which plans transcribe video messages?
A video message gets a transcript only when someone in the conversation on Plus or Elite can cover its length in minutes.
