First things first… let's get you set up.
Getting started with Walkie takes about two minutes. Here's every step.
Tick the box to agree to the terms... then continue with Apple, or Google.
Add your name and your mobile number. Your crew sees your name... and people see this number when you call them.
Walkie texts you a six-digit code. On iPhone, it usually fills itself in.
Then one screen worth reading. Every Walkie call is recorded and transcribed... and everyone on the call gets the same recording, transcript and summary. Tick the box, and continue.
Next, let Walkie reach you. Messages, missed calls and follow-ups... even when the app is closed.
And you're in. The Get set up list walks you through the rest... add your crew, start a conversation, and connect a project.
Walkie only asks for your camera, photos or contacts when you use them. It's free to start, at walkie pro dot com.
Tick the box that says you agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then tap Continue with Apple or Continue with Google. A new account then asks for your name and a US or Canada mobile number, and Walkie texts that number a six-digit code to confirm it. There’s no password.
Steps
- Open Walkie Pro, or go to app.walkiepro.com in a browser.
- Tick “I agree to Walkie Pro’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.”
- Tap Continue with Apple or Continue with Google. On the Android app, only Continue with Google is shown.
- On About you, check your first and last name, enter your US or Canada mobile number, then tap Send code.
- On Enter verification code, type the six-digit code Walkie texted you. It goes through by itself at the sixth digit, and pasting the whole text works too.
- On Know when your crew needs you, tap Continue and allow notifications when your phone asks, or tap Not now.
- You land on Projects.
To change your name or photo later, open You and tap your profile card at the top. That opens Edit profile.
If it didn’t work
- Nothing happens when you tap a sign-in button, and a line says “Please accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to continue.” Tick the agreement box first, then tap the button again.
- The code hasn’t arrived. Check the number shown under Enter verification code. The screen shows “Code expires in” with a countdown from 2:00. After 20 seconds the link under the code reads Resend code; tap it. You get 3 resends.
- The screen says “Too many attempts.” You’ve used all 3 resends. Wait 30 minutes and try again.
- The screen says “That code didn’t match. Try again.” Re-enter the digits from the newest text.
- The screen says “That code expired. Send a new one.” Tap Resend code and use the new code.
- The screen says “Couldn’t check the code. Check your connection and try again.” Your phone lost its connection. Get signal or Wi-Fi and enter the code again.
- It won’t take your number. Only US and Canada (+1) mobile numbers work.
- It says the number is on another account. See Phone number problems.
- You signed in and your conversations are gone, or it’s asking for your name again. You probably used the other sign-in button (Apple instead of Google, or the reverse), and that made a second, empty account. Get back to the sign-in screen and use the button you used before; on a phone you’ve signed in on before, it’s marked You used this last time. Leaving the new account erases anything on it that hasn’t sent, which on a brand-new account is nothing. If you can’t get back to your old account, contact us.
- You’re on a new phone, reinstalled, or signed in on the web, and it says Confirm it’s you. That’s expected: Walkie texts a code to the number already on your account. See Phone number problems.
What Walkie can’t do
- There’s no email-and-password, email-link or phone-number-only sign-in.
- The Android app has no Apple sign-in. Apple accounts sign in on iPhone or in a browser.
- Walkie can’t link or merge two accounts made with different sign-in buttons.
- Numbers outside the US and Canada can’t be used.
- You can’t change your sign-in email yourself. Edit profile says “You sign in with this. Contact support to change it.”

Quick answers
- Can I sign in with an email and password?
- No, Walkie Pro has no password, email-link or phone-only sign-in. You sign in with Apple or Google, then confirm your mobile number with a texted code.
- Why is there no Apple button on my Android phone?
- The Android app only offers Continue with Google. If your account uses Apple, sign in at app.walkiepro.com in a browser, which shows both buttons.
- Can I use a number from outside the US or Canada?
- No. Walkie Pro only accepts US and Canada (+1) mobile numbers.
- I signed in and everything is gone. What happened?
- You most likely used the other sign-in button, which made a second, empty account. On a phone you signed in on before, Walkie marks the button you used with You used this last time.
- How long until I can ask for a new code?
- Resend unlocks 20 seconds after the code is sent. You get 3 resends, then a 30-minute wait.
