New to Walkie? Let me show you around.
Here's how Walkie works. Five steps... about a minute.
Start with whoever you call the most. Tap the plus... and pick them.
Tap Connect a project, and pick your addresses. Each project gets its own tab.
Make your call right from the conversation.
Talk through both projects, like you normally would. Walkie splits the call by project.
Each project gets its own summary... and its own key points.
Open the call to see that project's key points. Anything you need to chase? Tap the clock... and give it a date.
Later on, just ask Walkie, in plain words. It takes you right to the answer... and the call it came from.
Try it on your next call. It's free to start, at walkie pro dot com.
Start a conversation with the person you call most, then tap Add to a project at the end of that conversation’s tabs and pick the job’s address. The job gets its own tab, and to call, tap the phone button at the right end of the conversation’s header.
Steps
- Invite your crew. Open You › My Contacts. Tap Invite next to someone to text them an invite from your own phone. Share invite link sends a general link instead: it credits you for the invite but doesn’t connect them to you, so start a conversation with them once they’ve joined. If they’re already on Walkie, skip this step.
- Start a conversation. On Projects, tap the + at the top to open New conversation. Pick the person, then tap Start conversation. Pick two or more people to start a group instead.
- Connect the job. In the conversation, tap Add to a project, the last tab along the top. To use a job you already have, pick it. To make a new one, tap Create job.
- Pick the address. In New job, type into Address or place and pick the address from the list, then tap Create job. The job now has its own tab in this conversation.
- Make the call. Tap the phone button at the right end of the conversation’s header. Talk it through, then hang up.
- Open the write-up. After the call is processed, the recording, transcript and call summary show up on the call’s card in the conversation.
Walkie keeps a checklist of these steps, Get set up, on Projects and under You. It ticks each step off by itself: Add your crew, Start a conversation, Create a project and Turn on notifications.
If it didn’t work
- You can’t find Add to a project. With a lot of jobs, it’s scrolled out of view at the end of the tab row. Scroll the tabs to the end, or tap Jobs at the left of the tab row, then Connect another job.
- It says “Ask a conversation admin for job permission to add jobs.” Your access in this conversation is Restricted, without permission to add jobs. Ask someone with Full access to connect the job, or to give you that permission.
- The address search finds nothing. Walkie shows “No address match” and offers to create the job under the name you typed. Only do that if there’s truly no address; afterwards, the job’s owner or a manager can give it one in Project settings.
- The other person can’t see the job yet. A first message from someone new arrives as a message request. They have to tap Accept before they can add anything.
- There’s no phone button in the header. It’s hidden when you’re looking at an archived conversation. In My Notes, the same spot records a walkthrough instead of a call.
- Add your crew didn’t tick. It ticks when you’ve sent at least one invite, or when one of your conversations has three or more people in it. A one-to-one conversation with someone already on Walkie doesn’t count.
- The call went under the wrong job, or under no job. Walkie files a call by what was said, not by the tab you called from. See File a message or call under the right job.
What Walkie can’t do
- Nobody but the job’s owner and its managers can change its name or its address. You own a job you created: open its page, tap Project settings, then Name or Address.
- Calling from a job’s tab doesn’t file the call under that job. What was said decides.
- An invite you text with Invite expires after 30 days.
- Share invite link doesn’t connect the person to you or start a conversation. You start it once they’ve joined.
- A job’s tab belongs to one conversation. If you connect the same job to another conversation, each keeps its own messages and files for it.

Quick answers
- How do I add a job?
- Open a conversation and tap Add to a project at the end of the tabs. Pick an existing job, or tap Create job and choose its address.
- Can I rename a job?
- The job's owner and managers can. Open the job's page, tap Project settings, then Name or Address. Everyone else sees "Only the owner or a manager can change this."
- Can I name a job something other than an address?
- Only when the address search finds no match. Walkie then offers to create it under the name you typed.
- Where is the call button?
- It's the phone button at the right end of the conversation's header. It's the same on every tab of that conversation.
- Does calling from a job's tab file the call under that job?
- No. Walkie files the call by what was said, matched against the jobs connected to that conversation, and you can correct it afterwards.
- Where do I invite someone?
- Open You, then My Contacts, and tap Invite next to a person to text them from your phone. Share invite link sends a general link that doesn't put them in a conversation with you, so start one once they've joined.
- How long does an invite last?
- An invite you text to a person with Invite expires after 30 days.
