Archive a job or conversation
Tap the conversation's name, then Archive conversation, or pick a job under Job feeds and tap Archive job. It hides it only for you and clears follow-ups.

Archiving hides a job or a conversation for you only; nobody else’s view changes and nothing is deleted. To archive a job, tap the conversation’s name at the top, pick the job under Job feeds, and tap Archive job. Archiving also marks that job’s or conversation’s active follow-ups as done.
Steps
Archive a job
- Open the conversation (tap it on Projects) and tap its name at the top. Conversation settings opens.
- Under Job feeds (the heading is in capitals and counts the jobs, such as “JOB FEEDS · 3”), tap the job.
- Tap Archive job.
- Choose Just in this conversation or Archive everywhere (every conversation the job is in, still only for you).
- You’ll see “Archived” and the job’s name, with Undo if you change your mind.
From the Projects tab you can also tap the circle on the left of a conversation, press and hold the job’s row in the sheet that opens, and tap Archive.
Archive a conversation
- Open the conversation and tap its name at the top.
- Tap Archive conversation.
- Read the message and tap Archive conversation again to confirm. The conversation and all its job feeds move to your archive, and its photos and files leave the Files tab until you restore it.
On Projects you can also press and hold a conversation, tap Archive, and confirm with Archive conversation.
Find or restore something you archived
- On You, tap Archive. Archived items are grouped under Jobs, Conversations and Lists.
- Tap Unarchive on the item.
- For a job, choose where to bring it back, such as “Unarchive everywhere” or only in one conversation. For a conversation, tap Unarchive conversation.
You can also open an archived conversation or job. It’s read-only, with an Unarchive button in place of the message bar.
If it didn’t work
- There’s no Archive conversation row. You’re in My Notes, which can’t be archived.
- “Couldn’t archive this conversation. Try again.” The archive didn’t save. Check your connection and try again.
- The conversation came back on its own. Someone wrote in it. Any new message brings an archived conversation back, and a new message filed under an archived job brings that job back.
- You can’t type in an archived conversation. Archived conversations and jobs are read-only. Tap Unarchive first.
- Your open follow-ups for that job are gone from Follow-ups at the top of Projects. Archiving marked them done. Unarchiving doesn’t reopen them; set new ones if you still need them.
What Walkie can’t do
- Archiving doesn’t remove anyone’s access, and it doesn’t hide anything from other people. To stop someone seeing new messages, see People in a conversation.
- A job can’t be deleted or disconnected from a conversation. Archiving is the only way to hide one.
- You can’t archive a conversation by swiping it. Swiping a conversation on Projects marks it read or unread, or follows up on its latest message.
- There’s no way to archive a job for other people.
