"Didn’t send": fixing items that are stuck
Tap Try again on the item, or open You and tap Sending problems. Each stuck item gives you its choices: send it, edit it, try again, or discard it.

- You › Sending problems
A red Didn’t send under your message, or a dot on the You tab, means something you made hasn’t reached your crew yet. Tap Try again on the item, or open You and tap Sending problems: each stuck item there gives you its own choices, like Send anyway, Try again or discarding it. Nothing you discard can be brought back, so don’t discard unless you mean it.
Steps
- Open the list of stuck items. Either:
- tap Try again or Review problem under the item that says “Message didn’t send” (this opens the list for that conversation; tap Show all to see everything), or
- open You and tap Sending problems at the top of the page. It shows how many are waiting to send.
- Items under Waiting to send need nothing from you. They go out when the phone is online with Walkie open.
- Tap an item under Needs review. What it says tells you what to do:
- “New messages · Review before sending” opens New messages received. Read what came in, then choose Send anyway, Edit message (it goes back into the message box so you can change it), or Delete draft.
- “Not sent · Review problem” opens a sheet saying “This item couldn’t be sent.” Choose Try again or Discard this change.
- “Conflicting changes · Review” means someone else changed the same thing while you were offline. For a list: Review changes or Discard my changes. For a note: Review & merge or Discard my changes. For a single item: Adopt server version or Keep my changes.
- “Original file unavailable · Review”: the photo or file is no longer on your phone, so it can’t be sent. The only choice is Discard this change. Attach it again from where it’s saved.
- “That person is not on Walkie · Review”: the post is fine; that one person never got access. Discard it, or invite them to Walkie and share again.
- “Referenced item unavailable · Review”: the thing this change points to is gone. Discard it.
- When the list is empty it says Outbox clear, and the dot on You goes away.
If it didn’t work
- Try again puts it straight back under Needs review. Check that the phone is online and try once more. If it keeps coming back, contact us before you discard it.
- Edit message says “That message was already sent.” It went out in the meantime. Nothing else to do.
- A voice memo doesn’t come back with Edit message. Text and most attachments return to the message box, but a voice memo doesn’t. Use Send anyway if you still want the voice memo sent.
- Items sit under Waiting to send on iPhone. iPhone only sends while Walkie is open and for a short time after. Open Walkie and leave it open.
- The sheet says “Couldn’t load outbox”. Tap Try again in the sheet.
What Walkie can’t do
- There’s no retry-everything button. Each item under Needs review needs its own choice.
- Delete draft and Discard this change can’t be undone, and support can’t bring a discarded item back.
- Walkie can’t send a file that’s no longer on your phone.
- Signing out doesn’t fix a stuck item. It deletes it, with everything else that hasn’t sent.
When to contact us
If an item keeps returning to Needs review after Try again, email support@walkiepro.com or call +1 (323) 504-7400 before you discard it. Send a screenshot of the item and your diagnostics from You › Help & support › Diagnostics › Copy diagnostics. We reply within one business day.

Quick answers
- What does the dot on the You tab mean?
- Something you made hasn't sent yet. Open You and tap Sending problems at the top to see it.
- Is there a button to retry everything?
- No. Items under Waiting to send go out by themselves; items under Needs review each need your choice.
- If I tap Delete draft or Discard this change, can I get it back?
- No. Both remove the item from your phone, and it can't be undone.
- Why did Walkie hold my message instead of sending it?
- It waited 5 minutes or more, and someone else posted in the conversation meanwhile. Walkie lets you read what came in before yours goes out.
- Will signing out clear a stuck item?
- Signing out deletes it, along with everything else that hasn't sent. Use the item's own buttons instead.
