Every call’s record lives in the conversation where the call happened. Tap the call in the conversation, or tap the call log icon at the top of the conversation and pick the call; the record has Summary, Transcript and Details. Each job the call was about also gets a summary card in that job’s feed.

Steps

Open a call’s record

  1. Open the conversation.
  2. Tap the call log icon at the top, just left of the orange call button. The call log opens, titled Calls. It lists every call in this conversation, newest first, including missed ones.
  3. Use All, Missed or Voicemails to narrow the list, then tap a call.

Read, listen and search

  1. In Summary, read the Call summary and the Key points under it, grouped by job. Tap Whole call to go back from one job’s view to the whole call.
  2. On a key point, tap Hear this part to play that moment, Follow up to add it to your follow-ups, or Add to a list.
  3. In Transcript, each turn is labeled with the speaker’s name. Use Find in transcript to search it.
  4. Play the recording with the player at the top. Tap the speed button to switch between 1×, 1.5× and 2×.

Fix the job a call is filed under

  1. Open the call’s record and tap Details.
  2. Under Linked jobs, tap Change.
  3. In What was this call about?, pick the jobs, or Not about a job, then tap Save.

If it didn’t work

  • The call still says Transcribing… or Generating summary…. It’s still being written. Wait for the “Call summary is ready” notification.
  • The card shows Retry. The summary failed. Tap Retry. Everyone in the conversation also gets a notification: “Walkie couldn’t write a summary for this call.”
  • Redo summary says Already redone. This call has had its one redo.
  • A job’s feed has no card for the call. Walkie didn’t think the call was about that job. Fix it with Linked jobs › Change above.
  • There’s no summary or recording at all. Nobody answered, so nothing was recorded. See the article on a summary that never appeared.
  • The call log says “Calls did not load”. Tap Try again.

What Walkie can’t do

  • There’s no per-job Calls tab and no way to filter a conversation’s call log by job.
  • The call log shows the last 100 calls in the conversation.
  • The recording and the full transcript can’t be exported or forwarded. Share sends the summary only.
  • A call gets one redo of its summary, no more.
  • Someone who joined the conversation after a call can’t open that call’s record.

Quick answers

Is there a Calls tab inside each job?
No. A conversation's calls are in its call log, the icon at the top next to the orange call button. Each job the call was about also gets a summary card in its feed. The Calls tab in the bottom bar is for starting calls, not for call records.
How does Walkie decide which job a call belongs to?
From what was said on the call, not from which tab you had open. When it's a guess, the record says Walkie matched this from what was said.
How long does a summary take?
It's written after the call ends. While it works, the call shows Preparing audio…, then Transcribing…, then Generating summary…, and you get a notification when it's ready.
What are key points?
The items Walkie pulled out of the call. Each one is tagged Decision, Blocker, Question, Follow-up, Suggested list or Note.
Can I redo a summary I don't like?
Once. Redo summary on the call record writes a new summary that replaces the old one, and a call gets only one redo.
Why does the summary say there was nothing worth summarizing?
Walkie decided the call was a test, didn't really connect, or was personal. The recording and transcript are still there.
Do voicemails get a summary?
No. A voicemail is transcribed, but it isn't summarized.
