Keeping the job straight

How do I put an inspection or delivery on the schedule?

Tap the date at the top of Projects to open the schedule, and add the event. Only the person who made it can move or cancel it. Add to my calendar is a one-time copy.

Inspections… deliveries… site visits. Here's how to put them on the schedule.

Rick says the cabinets show up Thursday at seven. Put it on the schedule... right from his message.

Press and hold the message, and tap Schedule. Walkie fills in the name... the conversation... and the project.

Pick the day and the time. Under Details, choose the reminder. Then tap Add to schedule.

The event lands in the conversation. Rick can say I'll be there... or Can't make it, and suggest another time.

His suggestion shows up right on the event. One tap moves it... and everyone confirms again.

To see everything coming up, tap the date at the top. Every project, one schedule. Filter by project... or by person.

Walkie reminds everyone who's coming. Try it with your next delivery.

Tap the date at the top of Projects to open your Schedule, and add the event with a name, a day and a time. The people you send it to can answer whether they’ll be there, and only the organizer can move or cancel it. Add to my calendar saves a one-time copy to your phone’s calendar that doesn’t stay in sync.

Steps

Add an event

  1. Tap the date at the top of Projects, Calls, Bulletin or Files. Your Schedule opens.
  2. Tap the add button at the top of the schedule. Under today, or under an empty day you tap, there’s also an Add to schedule link. You can also start from a conversation: tap + › Event, or press and hold a message and tap Schedule.
  3. Under What is it, name the event.
  4. Under When, set the day, the time and how long it runs. Turn on All day if there’s no set time.
  5. Under Who and which job, choose Just you, this conversation, or other conversations, and the job it’s for.
  6. Tap Details to open the rest: Where for the place, Notes, and Reminder: 30 minutes before (the default), 1 hour before, or The night before. The reminder choice appears once a day is picked, and all-day events don’t have one.
  7. Tap Add to schedule.

Answer an event

  1. Tap the event.
  2. Tap I’ll be there or Can’t make it. When you can’t make it, you can suggest another time.
  3. To change your mind later, tap Change your answer.

If you’re the organizer

  • Tap the event, then Edit to change it, and Save changes. Moving it asks everyone to confirm again.
  • Remind them pings the people who haven’t answered. It works once per event in each clock hour.
  • Cancel this event takes it off everyone’s schedule.

Other things you can do with an event

Open conversation, Copy to another date, Send to another conversation and Add to my calendar. Add to my calendar makes a calendar file and opens your phone’s share sheet, where you pick your calendar app.

If it didn’t work

  1. “Give this a name first.” or “Pick a day first.” Fill in the name or the day, then tap Add to schedule again.
  2. You can’t move the event. Only the organizer can. Tap Can’t make it and suggest a time instead.
  3. A reminder didn’t come. Reminders don’t go to people who answered Can’t make it. All-day events remind at 6 AM that morning. Check You › Calls & notifications › Notifications › Schedule is on.
  4. Your phone calendar shows the old time. Add to my calendar makes a copy that doesn’t update. Delete the old copy on your phone and add it again.

What Walkie can’t do

  • There’s no live two-way sync with Apple, Google or Outlook calendars. Add to my calendar is a one-time copy.
  • Only the organizer can move or cancel an event. Nobody else can change it.
  • There’s no separate schedule inside each job. It’s one schedule, filtered with All projects and Everyone.
  • An event doesn’t collect photos or call summaries.

Quick answers

Can I change the time of an event someone else made?
No. Only the organizer can move or cancel an event. You can answer Can't make it and suggest another time.
Does Walkie sync with my iPhone, Google or Outlook calendar?
No. Add to my calendar saves a one-time copy of the event to your phone's calendar. If the event changes in Walkie, that copy doesn't update.
Who gets the event reminder?
The organizer, everyone who said they'll be there, and everyone who hasn't answered yet. People who said they can't make it don't get it.
Is there a schedule for each job?
No. There's one schedule across all your events. Use the All projects filter to narrow it to one job.
Can I put something on the schedule just for me?
Yes. When you add the event, choose Just you under Who and which job.
